The RAI achieves all it does through the generosity of individual benefactors, trusts, and foundations who share the Institute's commitment to world-class research on the United States. Further financial support is essential to ensuring that the RAI maintains the quality and scale of its activities and increases its academic and global public impact. This will allow future generations of scholars, students and members of the public to better understand the United States, its politics, its culture and its history.
Donations allow us to support research on America in many different forms, including providing scholarships to doctoral students, supporting successful conferences and events, offering travel grants to undertake archival or site-based research, and inviting high-profile speakers to give lectures and workshops with our students.
Donors in the UK and elsewhere can give via the University of Oxford Development Office.
By default, gifts to the RAI will be allocated to general support, which means that they will go to the area of greatest current need. If you would like to discuss supporting a specific area of the Institute's activities, please contact the Director, Adam Smith, at adam.smith@rai.ox.ac.uk.
