The RAI is led by a director, Professor Adam Smith, and a deputy director, Professor Uta Balbier. We have a small but dedicated team led by a full-time manager, Katy Long. Our academic programme and events officer is Hannah Greiving (full-time) and our administrative and operations assistant is Richard Purkiss (part-time, Monday to Wednesday). The Vere Harmsworth Librarian, Bethan Davies, is also a core member of the RAI leadership team.
